Digital Marketing 101
by Ben Coomber

Part of the Business Accademy Program by Ben Coomber this short course takes all the digital marketing basics and makes them easy to understand, follow and recreate for your business.

Lecture 1. Free Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing is probably the single most important way for coaches and trainers to attract clients beyond referrals, but to call it a minefield is putting it mildly. With all of the available platforms, which do we use? And will those platforms be around forever? More importantly, when we choose our platforms how do we use them to create and then leverage an audience to spread our message and, ultimately, get clients? Why do we use certain platforms, what are the benefits, what are the consumers psychology on each platform and are we in a position to create engaging content? This module will teach what platforms are most relevant to your business, how to create a strategy around free social media marketing, and how to create meaningful content.

Lecture 2: Facebook and Instragram Marketing

How do we create the perfect Facebook post? What time should we post on Facebook? Should we use pictures, do videos, or just do text based posts? In this Facebook mastery module you will learn the perfect way to manage and market on Facebook to leverage your brand and get more traction in your business, and ultimately clients. We will also discuss paid Facebook marketing and the basics of putting money behind your posts. We also turn our attention to Instagram. How do you become an expert in the fastest growing social media platform there is? What tips and tricks can you use to grow your Instagram following as quickly as possible?

Lecture 3: Twitter Marketing

We take a look to Twitter. Many believe that Twitter marketing is impossible, but we just think that others are using it incorrectly. In this module we show you the methods you have available to use Twitter to connect to your customers in a truly meaningful way. Is Twitter dead? We don’t think so, find out why, and how to use it for your business.

Lecture 4: Paid Marketing

If you were going to set up an ad on social media, how would you do it? Who would you target, and how? How much should you spend, and how do you assess if it’s working or not? In this module we explode the area of paid marketing, giving you the basic skills to run a simple ad to recruit more clients into your business.

Lecture 5: Online Marketing Strategy

You know the major platforms, now it’s time to learn how do you pull it all together. In this module we explain the process of creating a social media schedule. When should you post, to what platform, should you put money behind it, and why? Creating a plan makes it significantly easier to plan out your weekly marketing, and creating a good one will improve the chances of interaction. After all, consistency is king, but it’s time to learn what to be consistent with.
